Destinations
There are several reasons to decide to take this safari, but the main one being that Chobe National Park in Botswana is one of the finest destinations to get your fill of wildlife safaris and river cruises. Cruising silently in mokoros (traditional dug-out canoes) through the Khwai River area will give you the opportunity to spot buffalo, elephant, zebra and other herbivores from a different perspective. Experience the roar of lions and the sound of the African bush when camping in Savuti. This fully serviced Camping Safari puts you up close to nature and will bring memories to last a lifetime.
Upon your arrival in Kasane today, you will embark on a magnificent cruise on the sparkling Chobe River. This experience provides incredible close up encounters with marine and bird life that cannot be easily spotted from land. This cruise also makes for a wonderful ice breaker amongst everyone on the trip, giving you a chance to get to know each other. We then head out on a leisurely game drive to our camp that provides fantastic photographic opportunities of the incredible sunset over the floodplains of the Chobe River. You will reach the campsite just before night fall, where the remainder of the tour team will welcome you to your lodging for the next two evenings.
Experience the magic of the Chobe River Floodplain! Embark on morning and afternoon game drives along the riverbanks, with the calls of the African Fish Eagle as your soundtrack. Witness incredible concentrations of wildlife drawn to the water, from massive herds of buffalo and elephants to zebras and other herbivores. With prey in abundance, keep your eyes peeled for predators lurking nearby!

Our next destination will be deep inside Chobe National Park, boasting an incredible variety of stunning landscapes. As you seek out wildlife, you will travel through the more arid area of Savuti where bull elephants are peppered along the plains. Savuti is famous for its predators that include lion, leopard, cheetah and even African wild dog. The Savuti Channel is flowing once more after being dry for the past thirty years. The arrival of water is transforming the terrain as well as providing a home for various types of species that would previously not be capable of surviving life in the arid region of Savuti. Elephant, lion and buffalo herds can be seen in this terrain.
Embark on thrilling game drives through the captivating landscapes of Southern Chobe National Park! Explore the Savuti and Zwei Zwei areas, known for their unique ecosystems and diverse wildlife.

From Savuti you will travel through to Moremi Game Reserve, one of the finest wilderness regions of Botswana which spreads over swamps and arid areas. The following two days will be spent seeking out the abundance of animal and bird life that this park is famous for, whilst taking in the beautiful sounds and sights of the area. You will be led on a mokoro (traditional dug-out canoe) ride along a tributary of the Khwai River from where you can game view from a completely different angle. There will be game drives in the early mornings as the sun rises, as well as in the early evening as the sun begins to set.

Absolutely! Botswana is one of the most sought after destinations in Africa because of its kaleidoscope of wonders. From the life-drenched arteries of the Okavango Delta to the legendary wildlife spectacles within Moremi, Khwai and Chobe, travellers are truly spoiled in this beautiful country. It is also perfect for those looking to explore predator rich areas and birdlife.
When visiting the Khwai Conservation Area/Okavango Delta, you will be separated from the truck for two nights. Accommodation here is a rustic style mobile fly camp at Khwai Tented Camp. The meru tents are equipped with two single beds and adjoining en-suite amenities, including a bucket shower system and chemical toilet.

An Africa overland tour isn’t your average holiday, it’s an unforgettable, boots-on-the-ground adventure. These journeys are all about the experience of traveling overland: crossing vast landscapes, spotting wildlife, meeting local communities, and embracing the unexpected.
Whether you’re exploring South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, or beyond, this is travel at its most raw, real, and rewarding.
It's definitely not for everyone — but perfect for those who want a true adventure.
Expedition Vehicles
Travel in rugged, purpose-built overland trucks, 4x4s, or expedition vans.
These vehicles are designed for tough conditions and long distances from smooth tarmac to remote dirt tracks.
Small Group Travel
Most tours run with 4–20 people, creating a friendly, team-based environment.
Expect to make friends quickly you’ll be sharing campsites, stories, and daily responsibilities.
Immersive Cultural Experiences
Go beyond the guidebook.
Visit remote villages, interact with local communities, and experience traditions and ways of life far from the tourist trail.
Flexible Itineraries
No two trips are ever exactly the same.
Weather, road conditions, or spontaneous local events might shift the route but that’s part of the fun.
Stunning and Varied Landscapes
From the towering dunes of Namibia to the wetlands of the Okavango Delta and the savannas of Kruger, you’ll see some of the most breathtaking natural sights Africa has to offer.
Hands-On Involvement
Many overland tours are participatory.
You’ll help with setting up camp (if you doing a camping safari), prepping meals, and pitching in where needed. It’s all part of the experience and part of the story you’ll tell later.
