Today, we travel to Zimbabwe and your lodge in Hwange National Park. Hwange is Zimbabwe’s largest national park, spanning over 14,000 square kilometers and boasting over 400 bird species and more than a hundred mammals. Upon arrival, you have the option to join a half-day game drive to begin your exploration of this incredible park (at an additional cost).

The following day features a full-day game drive across a large part of Hwange, including a unique lunch at a hide overlooking a waterhole, offering fantastic opportunities to see large numbers of elephants, giraffe, various antelope species, and a high density of lions. You might even complete your Big Five sightings here. The optimal time to visit Hwange for wildlife viewing is during the dry season from July to October, when animals congregate around waterholes. Hwange National Park is approximately 1-2 hours from Victoria Falls.
