15 Day Victoria Falls to Maun Small Group Adventure Tour

Upon arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure, allowing you to relax or explore the town and its many attractions. Whether you choose to visit the iconic falls, browse local markets, or enjoy the surroundings, Victoria Falls offers plenty to discover. This evening, meet your guide and fellow travellers for a pre-departure briefing ahead of your upcoming adventure.

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of the spectacular Victoria Falls, known locally as Mosi oa Tunya, meaning “The Smoke That Thunders”. Witness the immense power of one of the world’s largest waterfalls before crossing into Botswana and continuing to Kasane, gateway to Chobe National Park. Home to one of Africa’s largest elephant populations, Chobe offers exceptional wildlife experiences. Spend the afternoon at leisure before setting out the following day on a game drive through the park. Later, enjoy a scenic boat cruise along the Chobe River, where elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife can often be seen up close along the riverbanks.

Cross the border into Zimbabwe and continue to your lodge on the edge of Hwange National Park, the country’s largest national park and one of Southern Africa’s premier wildlife destinations. Over the next two days, explore this vast wilderness on exciting game drives, searching for elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, and a variety of antelope, as well as elusive predators such as lions and leopards. With its diverse habitats and abundant wildlife, Hwange offers an authentic safari experience and exceptional game viewing opportunities. If time permits, there may also be the chance to join an optional game drive within the private concession surrounding the lodge.

Fly to Deka Airstrip and transfer to the Zambezi River, where you will board a houseboat for a relaxing two-night cruise on Lake Kariba. Surrounded by dramatic landscapes and wildlife-rich shores, enjoy a scenic sunset cruise as you journey towards the Mibizi area, with opportunities to spot game along the water’s edge. The following day is spent at leisure, with options for fishing, guided walks, or wildlife viewing. Relax on board, take in the beautiful scenery, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of one of Africa’s most unique safari experiences.

After disembarking from your houseboat, transfer to Deka Airstrip for your flight back to Hwange before continuing by road to your lodge. The following day, explore the remarkable Matobo Hills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its dramatic granite landscapes, rich cultural history, and diverse wildlife. Track white and black rhino on foot and by vehicle, discover ancient San rock art, and enjoy game viewing throughout the park. The day concludes with a visit to the grave of Cecil John Rhodes at the famous World’s View, which offers spectacular panoramas across the surrounding hills.

Depart Matobo Hills and drive through the scenic savannas of southern Matabeleland en route to Botswana. In the afternoon, visit the Nata Bird Sanctuary for a chance to take in magnificent views over the Sowa Pan, part of the greater Makgadikgadi Pans. Arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon to relax and unwind.

An early morning departure brings you to Planet Baobab near Gweta, located in an area celebrated as the “baobab capital of the world.” From here, set out on an unforgettable expedition into the striking, lunar-like landscapes of Ntwetwe Pan. You will explore some of Botswana’s most distinctive desert terrain and enjoy a unique opportunity to encounter the area’s famous resident meerkats.

Travel to Maun, a bustling safari town known as the gateway to the Okavango Delta. The afternoon is yours to spend at leisure, whether you choose to relax by the lodge pool or embark on an optional scenic flight over the delta, a spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site and truly glorious oasis from above.

After breakfast, glide through the channels of the Okavango Delta on a traditional mokoro (dug-out canoe), spotting diverse birdlife and wildlife. Afterward, head to your camp in a private concession within the Greater Moremi area for dinner and an exciting night game drive. The following day is dedicated to a full-day safari in the famous Moremi Game Reserve, tracking incredible concentrations of wildlife in this unspoiled African wilderness
