Experience Ngamba Chimp Island

Ngamba Chimp Island offers visitors unique experiences with the chimpanzees. One can view the two daytime feedings, participate in the chimpanzee integration programme or the forest walk programme. You can also be a caregiver for the day and help prepare the food and feed the chimps, amongst other activities. The aim of these programmes is to assist financially with the maintenance and food requirements of the sanctuary. It also allows you to experience ‘a day in the life’ of a chimp, allowing you to understand more about the animal and the importance of taking care of them.

Please note though that there are health checks needed in order for you to be able to interact with the chimps.
