After years of working in outbound travel, I realized my true passion was inviting people to experience my home: Africa.
For over 25 years, I’ve dedicated myself to showing travellers the continent’s stunning beauty and wonderful people, far beyond what you see on the news. Travel has deepened my appreciation for the world’s diverse cultures and the beautiful ways in which we are all different, yet so much alike.
One of my most cherished recent memories is tracking rhino on foot in Matopos National Park, Zimbabwe, an experience that still gives me goosebumps. Later that day, we hiked up the park’s granite boulders, and the view from the top was nothing short of spectacular.
It’s these moments, the thrill of adventure followed by quiet reflection around a crackling fire under a sky full of stars—that define the magic of Africa.
My Dream African Adventure
I would love to show my 10-year-old the wonders of this continent. We would climb the giant sand dunes in Namibia, watch elephants play in the Chobe River, feel the spray of Victoria Falls, and see the beautiful smiles of the people in Malawi, the “warm heart of Africa.” The journey would end by watching the wildlife emerge on the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater at sunrise.
