12 Day Victoria Falls to Johannesburg Tour

Unveil the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls, a natural wonder and Africa’s “adrenaline capital.” After a relaxing transfer to your hotel, join a pre-departure meeting (18h00) to plan your exploration. Days are yours to discover – browse vibrant markets or choose thrilling activities (own expense) like helicopter flights or sunset cruises. Immerse yourself in the wonder of the Falls and Victoria Falls’ vibrant energy!

Crossing the border into Botswana, you will settle into a lodge on the banks of the famous Chobe River. Known for its massive elephant herds and spectacular sunsets, Chobe offers premier wildlife viewing. Your time here includes an early morning game drive in Chobe National Park and a relaxing sunset boat cruise, allowing you to observe wildlife from two unique perspectives.

After breakfast, the tour returns to Zimbabwe, heading south to the edge of Hwange National Park. You will arrive in time for a sunset game drive in an open 4×4 vehicle within a private concession. The following day is dedicated to immersion in nature with both morning and afternoon 4×4 game drives, exploring the diverse habitats of this vast reserve.

Travel to the World Heritage site of Matopos National Park, a landscape of balancing granite rocks and ancient history. This day offers the trip’s most unique encounter: rhino tracking. Zimbabwe is a stronghold for both black and white rhino, and you will have the chance to get up close to these endangered giants by vehicle and on foot for a truly heart-pounding experience

Crossing the Beit Bridge border into South Africa, you enter the Mapungubwe National Park region. This World Heritage Landscape was the site of the first southern African kingdom in the 13th Century. Day 8 features a morning walk to view Kaoxa Bushman paintings (San rock art) and a sunset drive offering breathtaking views over a landscape dotted with ancient Baobab trees

Journey south toward the legendary Kruger National Park. En route, you will traverse the scenic Panorama Route, stopping at natural wonders including the Blyde River Canyon, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, and the sweeping vistas of God’s Window. On Day 10, prepare for a full day game drive inside Kruger Park in open 4×4 vehicles, searching for the Big Five and an abundance of other flora and fauna

Departing the bushveld after breakfast, the tour proceeds to Johannesburg, South Africa’s economic hub and capital of the inland highveld. This final evening is a chance to relax after an epic overland voyage.
