11 Day Botswana and Victoria Falls Safari

You will meet your guide at the Maun Airport at 14h30 to begin your safari. On the northern border of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, you will travel 160km to the Deception Valley Private Reserve. You will receive a safari briefing upon arrival. Accommodation this evening will be spent in a comfortable camp.

Two days will be dedicated to exploring the area, including game drives and nature walks led by San trackers. As well as sharing their intricate bush knowledge, they will also give you a glimpse into their fascinating and unique culture. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to experience game drives, which will show you a fascinating range of desert specialized wildlife such as oryx and predators like lions, hyenas, and cheetahs. Uninterrupted beauty and vast open spaces await you.

Before going to Makgadikgadi, you’ll take a short game drive as the sun rises. You will spend one night at a camp overlooking the Boteti River in Khumaga village, on the edge of Makgadikgadi National Park. Arrive for lunch, have some down-time to rest and then enjoy a game drive along the Boteti river before enjoying a short siesta.

Venture west after breakfast, pausing for a delicious, self-funded lunch in Maun, before plunging into the heart of Botswana’s wild beauty. Enjoy a scenic game drive to Khwai, or elevate your experience with an optional 45-minute helicopter transfer (bookable on safari, USD payment), soaring over breathtaking landscapes. Your destination: the Khwai River area, bordering the renowned Moremi Game Reserve, a true wilderness paradise. Over the next three days, immerse yourself in thrilling game drives, exploring the wildlife-rich Khwai River region, and discover the tranquil beauty of a mokoro excursion along its tributaries, guided by local experts. Stay at the comfortable Khwai Guesthouse, nestled within Khwai Village, and truly experience Botswana’s untamed heart.

Journey north for a two-night exploration of Chobe National Park’s wild frontiers, settling into a rustic camp on its edge. Embark on a thrilling full-day game drive, traversing the iconic Savuti region and reaching the lush Chobe floodplains, with a delightful picnic lunch amidst the wilderness. Arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon, ready to delve into Chobe’s legendary wildlife. Discover the park’s year-round abundance, fueled by the life-giving Chobe River, attracting colossal elephant and buffalo herds, and a thriving predator population including lions and leopards. Your stay includes immersive game drives and a captivating boat cruise, offering unparalleled encounters with Chobe’s magnificent wildlife.

A visa is required for today’s trip to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, where you will spend two nights at a comfortable lodge. If you are interested in participating in activities during your stay (at your own expense), the lodge team will assist you. Take in the magnificent falls or browse curios during the afternoon. Dinner will be at own expense
