In Hwange National Park, you can see lions and elephants in their natural habitats; in the Okavango Delta, you can go on bush walks with expert guides; and in the Chobe River, you can watch elephants drink and hippos bathe.
Tonight is the beginning of the adventure. We encourage you to explore the area before your welcome meeting, but please ensure that you are back in time to meet the group. On the welcome note at the hotel, you will find the time of the meeting. A brief introduction will be followed by a review of the details of your tour by your guide. You will need to check in during normal hours at our start hotels, but if you arrive early, you will be able to store your luggage for the day.

Okavango Delta Excursion
Depending on current conditions and water levels, depart from the marina on a wildlife excursion both early in the morning and late in the afternoon by boat, on foot, or by jeep. The camp has a variety of amenities, including swimming and a deck where you can relax with a book. Observe passing wildlife with binoculars and keep your eyes open. A large area of Chief’s Island allows the animals to move freely – and they do so! It is likely that you will be able to observe the following wildlife during your guided walk: lion, elephant, giraffe, zebra, impala, kudu, and hippo, as well as a variety of birdlife, especially between October and March when the migratory species return to the area. There is a huge difference to being on foot rather than in a vehicle for such encounters!

As a native of Maun, Bonty’s work has been dedicated to preserving Botswana’s literary heritage and providing employment opportunities for young people.
