You and your fellow travelers head to your campsite in your 4×4 safari vehicle. You can anticipate seeing wildlife for the first time on this trip, which also serves as your first game drive. At the campsite, chilled refreshments and a tour of the camp will be provided by the welcoming camp staff. Day 2: Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana

Because animals are most active in the cooler morning hours and there’s a considerable chance of seeing amazing wildlife sightings, safari days begin early. You go on game drives throughout the day in the Moremi Game Reserve’s Xakanaxa/Third Bridge region. You tour the 5,000 square kilometer protected region with your guide and fellow travelers. One of the greatest locations for a safari in Botswana, if not all of Africa, is Moremi. Mopane woods, lagunes, and shallow waterways define the Xakanaxa Region, which is located in the center of the Moremi Game Reserve. These areas are great for observing elephants, crocodiles, hippos, and a variety of antelopes. Moremi is also home to chetahs, leopards, and lions. You may unwind by the campfire at night, watch the stars come out, and then drift off to sleep to the sounds of the nightly bush concert.

Day 3: Moremi Game Reserve – Khwai Region, Botswana

You go eastward today to the Khwai Region; even though you will be camping in a new location, the Moremi Game Reserve remains inside your boundaries. The drive will take three to four hours, depending on the state of the roads. Situated at the extreme northeastern tip of the Okavango Delta, the Khwai Region is distinguished by its wide grasslands, trees, and particularly its lagunes, streams, and meadows. The Moremi Game Reserve and the adjacent Khwai Community Area are divided by the Khwai River. You eat a picnic box lunch along the way so that you can enjoy more game drives. Lions and hyenas can be found in Khwai, but if you’re lucky, you might also see the elusive leopards or the uncommon African wild hunting dogs. This is even home to sable and roan antelopes. The camping team makes sure you have all you need as you enjoy another night in your cozy walk-in tent. Your campsite is in the Moremi Game Reserve, in a quiet and peaceful area.

Day 4: Khwai Region, Botswana

Before you go on another game drive, savor your breakfast outside. Your knowledgeable guide is quite familiar with the area and will give interesting information and tales about the social behavior of the animals in addition to knowing the best spots to observe them. You two stroll through the Khwai River’s meadows. Compared to the Khwai Community Area across the river, this area is more isolated. You will enjoy an even more unique safari experience in this way. Every day on safari is unique, and you’ll be shocked by how much you’ve already seen and done. A unique experience is in store for you in the afternoon as you cruise the Khwai Region’s winding rivers in a mokoro, a traditional dug-out canoe. the canoeist guides you through the river and reed maze with the help of the local poler. As your mokoro floats silently across the shallow water, you can see crocodiles, hippos, and other types of aquatic birds. a quintessential Botswana experience and perhaps the high point of your journey. You may look forward to a great dinner and a blazing campfire in the evening.

Day 5: Khwai Region – Chobe National Park (Savuti Region), Botswana

Traveling to the isolated Savuti Region in the southwest of Chobe National Park today will take you from the farthest point of the Okavango Delta. It’s a stark change in scenery from the Khwai Region’s lush meadows to this parched, nearly desert-like savannah. Predators are the main reason for the Savuti Region’s notoriety. Antelopes and other wildlife are being preyed upon by sizable prides of lions and hyena packs. Enjoy the national parks of Botswana for one more day and night.

Accommodation: Camping in Chobe National Park
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Distance: ± 170 km
Time: ± 5-6 km

Day 6: Chobe National Park (Savuti Region), Botswana

More prolonged game drives in one of Botswana’s top areas for animal viewing are what to anticipate. Whether or not the Savuti Channel is running determines how drastically the Savuti region changes. This canal had completely dried up until a few years ago. The Savuti Channel did not have water in it for over thirty years. For the first time since the protracted dry spell, its water reached the marsh in 2010. The dynamics of the place can change significantly depending on whether or not there is water present because it is unpredictable when and whether it will flow. With ample time to savor both large and small moments during your game drive, you may explore the natural environment to the fullest with the assistance of your knowledgeable guide. You cap off the day with a blanket of stars glittering in the sky and a campfire.

Accommodation: Camping in Chobe National Park

Day 7: Chobe National Park (Savuti Region) – Chobe National Park (River Front), Botswana

Following breakfast, your camp staff will pack up as usual, and you and your guide will proceed on the first game drive of the day. You will also arrive at your new campground after this game drive. You will travel through a portion of the Chobe Forest Reserve on your way to the Chobe River Front today. Chobe is renowned for having an exceptionally high population of elephants, who roam the area in vast herds. Along with elephants, other animals that can be seen along the banks of the Chobe River include buffaloes, hippos, and big cats. You stay in your comfortable walk-in tent for one more night.

Another high point is in store for the afternoon: You can see the animals from a different angle when taking a boat tour on the Chobe River. Elephants frequently visit the river to splash around and drink, which is a unique experience. Your camp team will cook you one last bush dinner in the evening.
