Day 1

Windhoek – Etosha National Park, Namibia

Your Namibia safari begins with pickup in Windhoek. Head north, stopping for supplies in Otjiwarongo, before entering Etosha National Park, a vast reserve spanning over 22,000 square km. Enjoy thrilling game drives en route to your campsite at Halali. Etosha is home to an incredible diversity of wildlife, including 114 mammal species. Spend the evening viewing wildlife at the floodlit waterhole near your camp, known for frequent visits from elephants and the critically endangered black rhino.

Day 2

Etosha National Park – Ongula Village Homestead Lodge, Namibia

After an early game drive and viewing the expansive Etosha Pan, exit the park and venture into Ovamboland. Arrive in the afternoon at Ongula Homestead Lodge, offering a unique doorway to the authentic heart of Owamboland’s culture and history. Set up camp and enjoy a traditional meal this evening.

Day 3

Ongula Village Homestead, Namibia

Spend the morning on a fascinating Homestead tour with a local guide. Gain profound insight into the Ovambo way of life as you visit local homes and learn about customs and traditions. In the afternoon, choose from optional activities like agritourism, traditional clay pot making, a dance and drum experience, or a donkey cart ride.

Day 4

Ongula Village Homestead – Kunene River Lodge , Namibia

Continue north and west, stopping at the impressive Ruacana Waterfalls, a significant source of Namibia’s power. Journey along the scenic Kunene River to Kunene River Lodge. In the evening, weather permitting, enjoy a sunset boat cruise on the river.

Day 5

Kunene River Lodge to Omarunga Camp (Epupa Falls), Namibia

Travel through the rugged terrain of Kaokoland to the stunning Epupa Falls. After setting up camp, visit a traditional Himba village. Spend time learning how the remarkable Himba tribe maintains their centuries-old lifestyle in this challenging environment. Later, hike to a lookout for breathtaking sunset views.

Day 6

Omarunga Camp – Ongongo Waterfall Camp, Namibia

Head south through Kaokoland, stopping in Opuwo for supplies. Continue to the uniquely magical Ongongo Waterfall Campsite. Ongongo, meaning “magical” in Herero, is nestled in a remote canyon and features warm water year-round. Spend the afternoon swimming and relaxing at this special location.

Day 7

Ongongo Waterfall Camp – Madisa Camp, Namibia

Depart Kaokoland for Damaraland. Your guide will highlight special plants and how animals survive in this unique ecosystem. Arrive at Twyfelfontein by lunchtime. Explore this ancient site, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Africa’s largest concentrations of rock petroglyphs. These carvings, created over 6,000 years by hunter-gatherers and Khoikhoi herders, offer a glimpse into ancient rituals. Afterwards, head to Madisa Campsite for your overnight stay.

Day 8

Madisa Camp, Namibia

Experience a highlight of the tour with a full-day Elephant Tracking Excursion. Return to camp in the afternoon to relax and enjoy the sunset.

Day 9

Madisa Camp – Erongo Rocks, Namibia

Travel to the Erongo Region. After setting up camp, visit the Living Museum of the Ju/’Hoansi-San. Gain a fascinating insight into the traditional culture and way of life of the San people through interactive programs and demonstrations. Spend your last evening enjoying dinner and a campfire.

Day 10

Erongo Rocks – Windhoek, Namibia

Embark on one last adventure with a guided walk to view ancient San rock paintings on the property. Begin the journey back to Windhoek, with an optional stop at the Okahandja craft market for souvenirs. You will be dropped off at your accommodation within Windhoek city limits.
