Your campsite for the night is located high on the Gamsberg Pass. Relax and enjoy the moment after setting up camp. The journey continues south through beautiful farmland after breakfast and packing up the camp. After passing Solitaire you descend to the plains and eventually reach your campsite in Sesriem. We rise and shine early today! While it’s still dark, head to the nearby Elim Dune to catch a stunning sunrise over a cup of tea or coffee. After returning to camp for a hearty breakfast, explore the majestic Sesriem Canyon, sculpted by the Tsauchab River over millennia. Take a short hike through the canyon’s impressive rock formations.

Around midday, leave the national park and journey to Rostock Ritz, nestled on the edge of the Namib Desert. Spend the afternoon relaxing and taking in the breathtaking, untouched landscape. Immerse yourself in the desert’s peaceful solitude or embark on one of the well-marked hiking trails to explore the area. Tonight, you’ll spend another night under the stars in a tent.

It is definitely a good idea to take a walk at sunrise. It is hard to find anything more captivating than gazing out at the seemingly endless and solitary landscape during the early morning hours, feeling utterly at peace with oneself. You will be welcomed back with breakfast by your guide. Swakopmund is situated along the Atlantic Ocean coast, where nature gives way to civilization for a short period. After lunch, you will take a city tour of Swakopmund. Swakopmund has a reputation for being Namibia’s German city; you are reminded of the German colonial era every time you turn a corner – you will recognize the German vocabulary, food, and architecture. Have dinner in one of the many restaurants (at your own cost).

Continuing inland, you reach the Brandberg Mountain. Under the shade of trees on the dry riverbed of the Ugab River, you set up camp. Following lunch, a local guide leads you on a short hike to the well-known rock painting known as the “White Lady”. Return to the camp and relax for the rest of the day. Make sure you keep an eye out for visitors – sometimes desert elephants pass through the area. The evening ends with a campfire. The tent is your home for the night.

Afterwards, we continue to Palmwag. An oasis of palm trees at the Uniab River in north-western Damaraland. You may enjoy a quick dip in the pool before venturing out on a game drive throughout the 5,000 square kilometre private concession. Afternoon light illuminates the flat hillsides and rare plants. Animals including the Oryx antelope, the kudu, the ostrich, the jackal, and the hyena are also found here. There is a possibility of spotting a lion, a black rhino, or desert elephants with a little luck. After watching the sunset, enjoy a sundowner drink before returning to the camp. It is refreshing to eat dinner at a restaurant – there will be a variety of delicious options. Your tent will be your home for the night.

If you are fortunate, you can observe elephants taking a bath or drinking at watering holes. A hearty breakfast is served at the camp. Your next destination is Okaukuejo, where you will spend the next two nights. There are many opportunities to view wildlife along the way. A popular hangout for many of the park’s animals, the illuminated watering hole provides an excellent opportunity for wildlife viewing and photography in the evening.
