What is a Kiboko Adventure Tour like?
Kiboko Vehicles
The vehicles are custom-built for the rugged terrain of Africa ensuring a safe, comfortable journey. Together with the knowledge and expertise of the staff these are ideal trucks to travel in. The vehicles are bought new and then custom-built to the specifications of their professional body builders. The interior is attractive with wooden panels giving it a safari look and feel. Large custom slide-down windows allow for optimal game viewing and fresh air. The passenger cabin is open to the driver so he can keep in touch with you and let you know what to look out for. There is a fully-equipped kitchen, the convenience of water on tap and 2 fridges to keep your drinks cold.
The Botswana trips are run in 4×4 open-sided game viewing vehicles which are used on excursions into the National Parks of Botswana (Moremi, Savute, Chobe). The vehicles carry a max of 9 travellers and have a trailer to carry the luggage.
Kiboko Crew
The guides are very knowledgeable and versatile knowing all there is about travelling in Africa as well as the fauna and flora. The Lodge tours include 1 Driver/Guide while the Camping tours include 3 Crew members – a Driver, Tour Guide and Cook. The guides specialise in Botswana, Namibia and Kruger to Victoria Falls and are FGASA trained and qualified.
Kiboko Accommodation and Campsites
Kiboko offer both camping and luxury lodge safaris, allowing you to travel in style. Stay in comfortable 3-4 star lodges that have private en-suite facilities and other amenities like swimming pools and bars that you can make use of. Two-man dome canvas tents and mattresses are provided with mosquito nets for you to sleep in relative comfort and shelter in the bush.
Kiboko Food on Tour
On camping tours you can enjoy tasty meals from local organic ingredients that are purchased from the communities. The Lodge tours provide meals at the establishment. The breakfasts are fairly simple consisting of bread (or toast), spreads, cereals, fruit, rusks with occasional hot breakfasts such as eggs bacon or pancakes. Lunches include sandwiches with a variety of fillings and salads. Dinners such as curries, stews, pastas, braais and even roasts will be enjoyed around the campfire.
