Hello Lee!
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make my visit to Uganda and Rwanda an adventure I'll never forget!
From the moment I met my group leader, Richard (AKA Guide and Chef Extraordinaire), and Gidi (AKA Guide, Driver, and Mechanic Extraordinaire), I knew I was in safe hands. These two were so welcoming, engaging, and ready to help in every way. They kept me informed about what to expect at every turn, and when I had questions, they answered them with kindness and a smile. We shared plenty of laughs and learned a lot about each other along the way!
Now, let’s talk about accommodations! I slept in tent number 160, and I absolutely loved it. It was spacious and in great condition. There’s something magical about sleeping under the stars in a well-placed tent! And the food? Wow! I was treated to an abundance of fresh fruit and delicious meal options. I think I may have gained a few kilos despite being so active!
The vehicle we used, which I lovingly nicknamed "The Beast," was roomy and had plenty of windows for all the stunning views. I enjoyed every bump and twist in the road, feeling safe and secure the whole time.
As for the most memorable moment? That’s a tough one! There were so many incredible experiences that will stay in my heart. But if I had to choose, it would be the gorillas. Hiking into the jungle to see them and learning about their lives beforehand was truly unforgettable. Seeing their faces and interactions reminded me of our shared connection and the importance of protecting these amazing creatures.
Thank you again for all your support!
Warmly,
William Ramirez
