Highlights on Cape Town Tours

1) Take the cable car up Table Mountain:

If you consider yourself relatively fit then take a scenic hike up Table Mountain. However if you prefer the no sweat option then take the leisurely cable car to the top. Either way you will be awarded with magnificent vistas of the city, beaches and ocean. Cape Town is absolutely picture-perfect from these heights.

2) Cape Point

The Cape Point nature reserve is beautifully wild and serene. The most popular attraction in the reserve is the funicular and lighthouse while the views from the top are amazing.

With breathtaking picnic spots or the chance to take a walk to a secluded beach this excursion will bring you back to nature and all it has to offer.

3) Wine Tasting

The Cape Winelands are best explored with an organised tour and guide. This enables you to see numerous farms while learning about the history and farming techniques enroute. From Stellenbosch to Paarl, Franschhoek and Elgin along with Constantia and Durbanville. You will be spoilt for choice with so many wine varietals including the likes of Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon as well as Pinotage being the most popular. Other varietals include Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Viognier and Merlot as well as numerous blends offering a wine for every pallet.

Fun tastings offered at various vineyards include pizza and wine pairings as well as chocolate and wine pairings, with many more unique and exciting activities such as cellar tours and the opportunity to blend your own wine.

4) Food

Cape Town is a foodie hub with world-class chefs powering a food revolution. Restaurants in the city offer every cuisine imaginable from traditional African dishes to fusion and fabulous seafood.

For a uniquely South African experience, head out to Mzoli’s Place in Gugulethu. Here the tradition of braai culture (or barbeque) is held proudly as you are given the chance to choose your cut of meat and it is then cooked to your liking on open fires and served along with side dishes true to South African style such as pap or coleslaw. You can grab a beer (quart) next door from the shebeen to wash it all down with. Enjoy your meal while getting to know the friendly locals for a true African experience.

5) Open Top Bus
