African Impact

With African Impact, you can immerse yourself in a diverse range of volunteer projects focused on both conservation and community development. Whether your passion lies in Wildlife Conservation in iconic locations like the Greater Kruger area and Kenya, contributing to Marine Conservation in the waters of Zanzibar and Mozambique, supporting Teaching & Sports in Zambia and Zanzibar, or working towards Gender Equality and Medical & Healthcare initiatives, we offer a project to align with your interests.

For those seeking a more in-depth experience, our internship projects provide opportunities to gain invaluable experience in fields such as Wildlife Conservation, Medical & Healthcare, and Equality & Nonprofit. These internships run from a minimum of 4 weeks and often require some existing experience.

Explore our exciting destinations across South Africa, Kenya, Mozambique, Zambia, Zanzibar, and Zimbabwe, each offering unique landscapes, cultures, and opportunities to make a real difference. Our projects are developed and grown hand-in-hand with local communities, ensuring that your contribution is meaningful and sustainable [11, our conversation history].

When you join an African Impact project, your project fee typically includes accommodation, meals, project equipment and resources, as well as arrival and departure transfers. We prioritise the safety and support of all our participants through comprehensive measures.

Most of our volunteers embark on their African adventure solo, which often leads to a strong sense of camaraderie among participants from diverse backgrounds.

Overview Embark on a rare and exciting opportunity to join our team in the Pardamat Conservation Area, a vital wildlife corridor within the legendary Greater Masai Mara Ecosystem. As a wildlife conservation volunteer, you'll dive into hands-on field work, monitoring and collecting crucial data on Africa's most iconic species, including the majestic elephant, the largest living land animal. This unique project immerses you in two distinct conservation models: the established Naboisho Conservancy and the pioneering dual-use Pardamat Conservation Area, where wildlife and livestock harmoniously coexist. Witness breathtaking wildlife displays firsthand while actively contributing to vital research that shapes long-term conservation strategies and management plans in these critical Kenyan landscapes. Your daily tasks will dynamically adapt to each location's unique needs and conservation approach, ensuring a truly impactful and unforgettable experience.
