Day 1: Victoria Falls Zimbabwe

At Victoria Falls, your adventure begins with a stay at a comfortable lodge. In addition to pre-safari arrangements, Bush Ways Safaris can provide airport transfers (extra cost) to the lodge. Spend the afternoon relaxing or exploring Victoria Falls town and its numerous activities.

Day 2 – 4: Chobe National Park, Botswana

After breakfast, you will be informed of the departure time for your transfer to Botswana, where you will meet your guide. Your next stop will be Chobe National Park, an area with diverse and striking landscapes. You will shop for drinks en-route to your campsite in Chobe National Park. Explore the floodplains of Northern Chobe on game drives. Continually searching for wildlife, you will move campsites and traverse to the drier region of Savuti where you will see bull elephants. This area can be explored on game drives.

Day 5 – 7: Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana

We continue our safari with a drive to the Moremi Game Reserve. This reserve has both swampy and dry areas, making it an excellent wilderness area. We will spend the next three days exploring this area in search of wildlife and birds, while enjoying the beauty of the area. This magnificent Game Reserve offers two camp sites for your 3-night stay. The best time to go on a game drive is in the morning or in the late afternoon, depending on when the sun rises or sets.

Travel Distance: Chobe River 100km, 3H (plus border crossing), Chobe River – Savuti: 170km, 5-6h (transfer and game drive), Savuti – Moremi 120km, 7-8h (transfer and game drive)

Day 8: Maun, Botswana

Once you leave Moremi, you will head towards the Okavango Delta. For the night, you will stay at a stunning campsite outskirts of Maun. A 30 minute helicopter ride with the doors removed will be available to you this afternoon, allowing you to see the world from a different perspective.

Day 9: Okavango Delta, Botswana

The southern tip of the Okavango Delta offers a special corner of paradise in the early morning hours. When you reach the edge of the delta, your polers will greet you with mokoros (traditional dugout canoes). As you cruise through channels lined with reeds and floodplains in the Delta, you will feel the tranquility of the region. The Okavango islands and floodplains of the Okavango will be visited on mokoro excursions and a wild camp for two nights.

Please note: You will leave your main luggage in the trailer and will need to pack a smaller bag (small backpack, hand luggage) with what you need for the 2 days on the island. Transfers from the mainland to the island where you will stay are done on traditional dugout canoes (mokoro) which cannot accommodate large bags. Your main luggage will safely remain in the vehicle that will be parked in a secured area while you are on the island.

Day 10: Okavango Delta, Botswana

Experience the Okavango Delta by mokoro or on a nature walk.

Day 11: Maun, Botswana

Your safari is coming to and end today once the guide drops you off at Maun Airport at 12h00. If you would like to stay in Maun after the tour, then please speak to your travel consultant to extend your stay.

Due to circumstances beyond our control while on tour (such as border crossings, traffic, breakdowns and delays, etc), the end time on the last day cannot be guaranteed. Therefore we strongly recommend you stay the night and fly out the next day. Please consult with your booking consultant.
