Your vehicle and guide are confident about completing the last section of track that can only be accomplished by 4X4 vehicles. Deadvlei’s surreal beauty will captivate you once you enter. In the distance one can see dried camelthorn trees and dune backdrops, creating a breathtaking sight. In addition, you can wonder through the gorge made by the Tsauchab River millions of years ago in the Sesriem canyon. The rest of the afternoon is yours to spend at your leisure after this eventful day. Dinner can be savoured under the Namibian night sky.

The route includes a stop at the Walvis Bay lagoon where you can observe flamingos up close. The next stop is Swakopmund, as you wind your way through the desert and the ocean. After your arrival in Swakopmund, you can spend the remainder of the afternoon at your leisure. The area offers a lot to see and do, so be sure to speak with your guide. The Petrified Forest is a good place to visit if you are interested in geology. A fossilised tree trunk estimated to be 260 million years old is found here, with information on how it got there. Petrified Forest also boasts a fascinating and unique plant called Welwitschia mirabilis, which can live up to 1,000 years. Etosha Safari Camp is the next accommodation on your Namibia tour, just south of the Etosha entrance gate. The safari game drive begins as soon as you enter the park.
