Itinerary

Day 1: Maun – Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana

When you arrive at the Maun Airport about midday, you will be greeted with warmth. You soon board another flight, this time in a light aircraft, and are flown straight to the Moremi Game Reserve. On a clear day, you will be treated to breathtaking views of Chief’s Island below you and the stunning scenery of the Okavango Delta. The Moremi Game Reserve, which occupies a sizable chunk of the Okavango Delta, is where you are going. This area is primarily made up of grasslands, forested woods, floodplains, and marshes. Your safari guide will greet you after you have landed safely, and you may then have a picnic lunch outside. After that, you head for your mobile safari camp for your first wildlife drive. Your camp will be the perfect starting point for your next safari activities because it is right in the middle of the wildlife action. Additionally, it provides a degree of comfort that is uncommon on a camping expedition. Your walk-in mobile safari tent has a comfy bed, a private en suite bathroom, and a bucket shower with hot water. Set up shop, drink a sundowner, and savour a delectable dinner that the camp cook has prepared. You can relax by the campfire in the evening and take in the surrounding natural atmosphere.

Day 2: Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana

On a mobile safari in the Okavango Delta, you get up early since the animals are most active in the early morning. You tour the Moremi Game Reserve in an open-air safari vehicle with your knowledgeable safari guide by your side. The Moremi Game Reserve is home to a wide variety of animals and serves as an important haven for numerous endangered species. Elephant, hippo, buffalo, crocodile, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, and a variety of unusual antelope species, including the roan, sable, tsessebe, and red lechwe, may be seen during your game drive. Predators are typically around when there is this much wildlife, and the Moremi is well-known for offering consistently good sightings of lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and even African wild dogs. Now that the rhino has been brought back, the reserve is home to all five of the Big Five. On your morning game drive, you should see a lot of wildlife. Afterward, you should head back to your tent for some relaxation and maybe a quick snooze before lunch. You leave for another wildlife drive and more safari activities in the afternoon. You can look forward to another delectable dinner and a restful night’s sleep in your snug bed in the evening.

Day 3 – 5: Moremi Game Reserve – Khwai Area, Botswana

You depart for your second safari stop, the Khwai Area in the Moremi Game Reserve, after a leisurely breakfast. It pays to remain alert at all times in case you spot any potential wildlife. Your guide may be able to offer you some tips to assist you identify animals because he or she has trained eyes. This wonderful area of floodplains, wetlands, and grasslands, inside the Moremi Game Reserve and named after the Khwai River, is where you spend the next three nights. A native “poler” will carefully navigate you around the network of waterways in a traditional dugout canoe, known as a “mokoro,” while you are visiting. This is a truly unique way to see the area. In addition to being peaceful, this quiet mode of transportation is ideal for anyone who wants to get up close and personal with some of the many magnificent bird species that call this area home. During your stay, you can take many game drives to discover more about the unique environment of the Khwai region. In the evenings, you can unwind in your lovely surroundings and take in the magnificent night skies.

Day 6: Khwai Area – Maun, Botswana

Before you begin your journey back to Maun, have your breakfast. Enjoy the moment as you take a final, leisurely drive through some of the bush country of Botswana. By midday, as your Okavango Delta mobile safari comes to a close, you will arrive at Maun.
