While you’ll miss the morning safari with the group, the panoramic views from above are truly breathtaking. Day 5: Ngorongoro – Arusha, Tanzania

Important: If you’ve booked the Zanzibar Express, you’ll depart from the group in Arusha and be transferred to your hotel for the night. The following morning, fly to Zanzibar. Your package includes transfers, flights, one night in Arusha (Outpost Lodge, or similar), and one night in Stone Town (Tausi Palace, or similar). Breakfast is included.

Day 6: Arusha – Bagamoyo, Tanzania

Hit the road early and immerse yourself in the diverse landscapes that lead to the Indian Ocean. Our final stop today is Bagamoyo, a historic town recently declared a World Heritage Site. Once a bustling trading port, Bagamoyo offers a glimpse into East Africa’s rich past. Upon arrival, explore the narrow, unpaved streets at your own pace.

Zanzibar Express: If you’ve booked this option, transfer to the airport this morning for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival in Stone Town, spend the afternoon exploring the vibrant streets at your leisure. Enjoy an extra night in this charming town and reunite with the group the following day. Breakfast is included.

Day 7: Bagamoyo – Zanzibar Beach Resort, Tanzania

A new day brings a new adventure! A border crossing will take place today between Malawi and Zambia, which is landlocked. The group will be transported by an overland vehicle to Chipata, the capital of the Eastern Province. Formerly known as Fort Jameson, this town is now a popular refueling point for overlanders traveling to South Luangwa National Park.
