Day 1 – 4: Nosy Be, Madagascar (Tsara Komba)

Arrive at Nosy Be Airport, and we’ll whisk you away to Hell-City, then by boat to the secluded Tsara Komba Lodge. Prepare for four nights of pure bliss on “Lemur Island,” Nosy Komba, the archipelago’s crown jewel. Embrace the “slow lane” vibe, perfect for unwinding in this eco-paradise. For the adventurous, dive into vibrant coral reefs, explore hidden trails, or immerse yourself in local village life (optional activities, at your expense). Day 5: Antananarivo, Madagascar

Enjoy a final, relaxed breakfast at Tsara Komba before your transfer to the airport for your flight to Antananarivo (flight not included). An overnight stay in Antananarivo provides a comfortable pause before your onward travels.

Day 6: Andasibe, Madagascar

Embark on a captivating journey to Andasibe, traversing the lush, verdant landscapes of eastern Madagascar. Witness a transition to the island’s humid heart, where primary forests, serene lakes, and cascading waterfalls punctuate the scenery, alongside terraced rice fields and remnants of ancient forests. Observe the unique Merina villages clinging to rocky mountain slopes. Upon arrival, settle into your hotel, and as twilight descends, venture into the Andasibe region for an enchanting night walk. Day 7: Andasibe, Madagascar

Day 8: Antanannarivo, Madagascar

Following breakfast, embark on your return journey to Antananarivo, with a captivating stop at the Reptile & Butterfly farm. Enjoy an opportunity for lunch en route (at your own expense). Arriving in the “City of Thousands,” Madagascar’s historic capital where unification began, you’ll experience a brief city orientation tour. Check into your hotel in the late afternoon, ready to explore further.

Day 9: Ifotaka, Madagascar

Begin with breakfast before a transfer to Ivato Airport for your flight to Fort Dauphin (flight not included). Upon arrival, meet your guide, enjoy lunch, and then journey westward for three hours towards the Antandroy Spiny Forest. This scenic drive showcases Madagascar’s diverse landscapes, from rice paddies to arid spiny forests. Settle into your camp overlooking the Mandrare River. As night falls, embark on a captivating walk in Analoalo or Ambovo Forest. Witness the transition from diurnal to nocturnal wildlife, observing sleeping sifakas and white-foot sportive lemurs, before encountering mouse lemurs, chameleons, and other nocturnal creatures in this unique ecosystem.

As the day cools, embark on a cultural walk through the spiny forest, home to ancestral Antandroy tombs and unique endemic species. Accompanied by expert local guides, delve into the Antandroy people’s rich heritage and traditions. Conclude your day with scenic sundowners along the Mandrare River banks.
