Client Feedback while travelling on a Madagascar Overland
Holly is currently doing the 15 Day Mysterious Madagascar Beach Overland :
Ok so here goes; my official update for all those who are interested; I finally got to a computer, and you would freak if you saw where i accessed one at; im in the middle of a park in Madagascar, and im soooooo thrilled about it; i started my trip 5 days ago; and im loving every minute of it; at first i was a little freaked out and unhappy, that’s cuz i was in the city, what a horrible place that was; and to top it all off, it was their independence day, oh btw happy fourth of July everyone; well i joined up with my group and off we went, and straight into the jungle we went; the very first day i saw lemurs, chameleons, all sorts of insects and plants i only dreamed of seeing before; it was everything i hoped for, and then some; so we did loads of hiking, night and day, saw all sorts of wildlife, drove tons, met the locals; who are extremely friendly, and poor I might add; I brought lots of pens, paper, and toothbrushes for the children and they really appreciated it, and needed it as well;
oh and there are so so so so many kids here; each woman has at an average of 10 kids, its crazy, and they are so very poor; well i cant go on too much longer im getting closed up on, and its dark, and i have to walk back to my bungalow in the dark now; eeeeeeeee, well anything to get a quick update out to everyone;
ill be in touch again the next chance i have to get to a computer; we are off to do some more jungle trekking tomorrow, i cant wait to show you all my pix, they are so incredible;
see you soon.
We just got another update from Holly ! So nice to hear she is having an awesome time.
Hi all, it’s me again……I can’t believe it’s almost over, I’m finished travelling around
colourful, friendly, dry, blue skies, warm people, clean air, poor, long orange unpaved roads, woman working hard in the fields, children in ragged clothing always waving hello with a huge sincere smile on their faces, clear unspoiled oceans full of the most colourful reef fish I’ve ever seen, chickens and zebu (cows), rice and tobacco fields as far as the eye can see, very few trees, except for the patches of eucalyptus, and pines, patches of rainforest filled with wildlife, odd shaped trees, the sound of silence except for the wind, birds and distant cries of farm animals, these are just a sample of the sights and sounds I’ve encountered while I’ve been here.
I don’t want it to end, but sadly I have to come home at some point. Now don’t get me wrong, I miss my bed, friends, and pets. I just love this so very much; it is an amazing experience that I will never forget. I just wanted to give you all some idea of what this place is like. I promise I will have lots of pix to share when I return.

Hi Gelle, glad you were able to see my pix! I’m still abroad, I’m in Mauritius. Do I went to an Internet cafe and downloaded them. There are plenty more to come, even better then those. I’ll be home after the 23rd so I’ll send them then. I just wanted to tell you I had an amazing time ! Madagascar is truly a unique place, I really fell in
love with it. Just be prepared its not how you might picture it in your mind. Its very poor, very rural, and very barren of trees. That
broke my heart, but what I fell in love with were the people! They were truly genuine, unspoiled, gentle people. The tour was fantastic, so were the guide, and driver. The best I’ve ever had!
So thank you once again for everything. I’m very happy with this trip
